ProMed Consulting LLC is a California-based management services organization (MSO). We provide non-clinical business, administrative, and operational support to physician-led medical practices. We do not provide medical care and we do not make clinical decisions.
What does a management services organization (MSO) do?
An MSO handles the non-clinical side of running a practice: administrative operations, back-office workflow, compliance-aware process design, technology and systems setup, and day-to-day practice-management support. The MSO runs the business support; the licensed physicians keep full authority over every clinical and medical decision.
Who does ProMed work with?
We work with physician-led medical practices in California that want dependable non-clinical operational and administrative support, so the physicians can focus on patient care. Every engagement is scoped to the individual practice.
Does ProMed provide medical care or practice medicine?
No. ProMed is a non-clinical management services organization. We do not provide medical care, we do not practice medicine, and we do not make or influence clinical decisions. All clinical authority remains solely with the licensed physician owners of the practices we support.
How is an MSO different from the medical practice itself?
The medical practice is owned and run by licensed physicians who hold all clinical authority and responsibility. The MSO is a separate business that supports the practice with non-clinical operations and administration. ProMed supports the practice; it does not own the practice's clinical decisions.
